  • EIGHTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE SOCIETY FOR CHAOS THEORY IN PSYCHOLOGY & LIFE SCIENCES

    CALL FOR PAPERS

    Papers and programs are now requested pertaining to applications of chaos theory, fractals, nonlinear dynamics and related principles applied to any of the various psychological subdisciplines, neuroscience, biology, physiology and other areas of medical research, economics, sociology, anthropology, physics, political science, organizations and their management, other business applications, education, art, philosophy, and literature. Please indicate to which of the foregoing topics your paper applies. An abstract should be approximately 200 words in length; include figures and tables as desired.

    Submissions may be single papers, symposia, roundtable or salon programs. Subject matter may be theoretical, empirical or methodology oriented. Oral presentations will be 30 minutes in duration. It would be helpful to indicate the primary focus of your paper as (a) social or organizational, (b) clinical, ( c ) cognitive, (d) other social psychology, (e) biological or biopsychology, (f) methodology (g) philosophy, (h) art and culture (I) economics or (j) ecology.

    PUBLICATION: All papers accepted for presentation at the SCTPLS Conference are invited as submissions to NONLINEAR DYNAMICS, PSYCHOLOGY, AND LIFE SCIENCES. NDPLS is the research journal of the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology & Life Sciences.

    WORKSHOPS:(detail TBA): Basic and Advanced Dynamics, Organizational Behavior, Clinical Psychology.

    IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER: Abstracts in by April 15. Response from Program Committee (via Bill Sulis) by May 1.
    Registration for all speakers is required by May 20.
    Unregistered speakers will be descheduled to avoid the scheduling problems created by no-shows. Your understanding is appreciated. All lodging requests must be received by July 15, see below.

    REGISTRATION: for this conference will be US$130 for regular members and US$110 for students until July 15. Afterwards, the door-registration rates of $135/155 apply. Lodging at the university will be similar in price and accommodation to those we have had in previous years. Official prices will be posted in the next Newsletter, if not before, once these have been determined by the host facility.
