Riassunto
Obiettivi: La HSRS di Lester Luborsky rappresenta da tempo uno strumento valido e attendibile per misurare la gravita dei disturbi mentali. La sua struttura, orientata a cogliere la gravità dei problemi del paziente nel loro complesso, dalla sintomatologia clinica alle relazioni interpersonali, dal funzionamento lavorativo agli interessi, la rende particolarmente idonea a integrare altri strumenti di misura finalizzati alla valutazione di specifiche sindromi cliniche. Nel presente lavoro viene presentato uno studio di validazione della versione italiana della HSRS. Lo studio si propone di verifìcare sia l'attendibilità che la validità di tale versione. Metodi: Un campione di 28 soggetti, tra cui pazienti psichiatrici ricoverati, pazienti psichiatrici ambulatoriali e volontari sani, è stato sottoposto a un'intervista audioregistrata. Due giudici hanno ascoltato ciascuna intervista e siglato indipendentemente la HSRS. L'intervistatore ha siglato la BPRS al termine del colloquio. Risultati:
L'analisi dei dati ha indicato che la versione italiana della HSRS possiede un'elevata attendibilità e che essa è significativamente correlata con la BPRS. Conclusioni: Nel complesso i risultati della presente ricerca mostrano che la versione italiana della HSRS mantiene le eccellenti proprietà psicometriche della versione originale e consentono di raccomandarne l'uso a clinici e ricercatori operanti nell'area della salute mentale.
Summary
Objectives: The HSRS by Lester Luborsky has been for a long time a reliable-and valid method for rating the severity of mental disorders. Due to its scoring procedures, which encompasses the whole span of a patient's problems, from psychiatric symproms to interpersonal relations, from occupational functioning to vocational activities, the HSRS is particularly suited for completing the information offered by more symptom- or syndromeoriented rating scales. In the present paper we report on the psychometric properties of the Italian version of HSRS. The study aimed at assessing both the reliability and the validity of the Italian version of HSRS.
Methods:
A sample of 28 subjects, including psychiatric inpatients, psychiatric outpatients and healthy volunteers, underwent a tape-recorded interview. Two independent judges independently listened to each interview and scored the HSRS. At the end of each interview, the interviewer scored the BPRS. Results: Data analysis indicates that the Italian version of the HSRS has high reliability and that HSRS scores are highly correlated with BPRS scores. Conclusions: Results from the present research show that the Italian version of HSRS maintains the excellent psychometric properties of the original version and allow us to recommend its use to Italian clinicians and researchers within the field of psychiatry and clinical psychology.
